Other Information
This is the first and oldest of all the Windstar sailing yachts. It is 4-masted and motorized. There are 74 staterooms on board, and all of them have Queen-sized beds, LCD TV, luxury bathrooms, and sound dock for Apple iPods.
There are 2 main dining options on board. AmphorA Restaurant offers a 5-course dinner menu that changes daily, and fresh ingredients. The Candles Cafe & Veranda is the ships casual dining option and it has a buffet breakfast and lunch, and dining under the stars in the evenings.
On board venues include the Spa and fitness center which offers outdoor spa treatments, Casino, Library, Lounge, Pool and hot tub, and Watersports platform for water skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, and kayaking. There is also a Boutique Shop which sells duty-free luxury fashion clothing and accessories.
Renovations in 2012 including a full update of the public rooms.
The 148-guest Wind Star underwent the first stage of upgrades while in Lisbon in November 2023. In this phase one (of two), the ship’s reception area received expanded seating and retail space, the Lounge that’s adjacent to the Yacht Club Cafe was spruced up with new furniture and lighting, and the World Spa by Windstar and gym were revitalized, and new equipment was installed. The pool deck, one of Wind Star’s most social places, has a new pool and Jacuzzi, an extended pool bar, and fresh pops of color via new outdoor seating and lounging. The Owner’s Suite was completely redesigned. Wind Stars technology has also gotten a major upgrade, with new, larger flatscreen televisions in all staterooms and suites and Starlink Wi-Fi.
