This ship focuses on destinations, with less at-sea days, longer in-port days, and exciting overnights. There is complimentary wi-fi, free shore excursions, and wine and beer is no charge at dinner and lunch. All guests also have free access to the Nordic Spa and the Infinity Pool.

There are 493 staterooms and all of them have balconies, king-sized beds with luxury bedding, luxury bathroom with premium bath products, satellite phone, HDTV, air-conditioning, and mini-bar.

Dining options on board include The Restaurant (dining room), buffets (Viking Deli, World Cafe), Aquavit Terrace (alfresco), specialty restaurants (Italian Grill, Chefs Table), and Private Dining (2 rooms).

During the day, guests can enjoy one of the two swimming pools, covered pool deck with jacuzzi and bar & grill, 2 cinemas, Wintergarden (poolside area), a sports deck with walking track, and a modern wellness complex. The wellness complex has a spa and fitness center and a beauty salon as well as a thermal suite, hot tub, sauna room, heated ceramic loungers, therapeutic showers, and salt-water thermal pool.

All Viking ships have a complimentary onboard snow room, called a Snow Grotto. The Snow Grotto is a spa retreat that has powdery snow falling down from the ceiling. First, guests heat in a sauna (steam bath), and then they walk into the small room with the snow. It has been said to help with the bodys blood circulation.
