SILVER WHISPER is the second of 2 new buildings for Silversea which were designed on the successful first pair.
During refurbishment Nov 2016 the Sun deck received new tiled pool and loungers, new satellite antennas for better internet, interactive TVs with on-demand movies were added in every cabin, the Suites were refreshed with dark emperor marble floors.
During refurbishment in December 2018 upgraded the public areas, added new 40 inch flat screen TVs in suites, updated bathrooms in suites. Turned 9 Terrace Suites on deck 5 into Veranda Suites, added storage space and crane for new Zodiacs.
During refurbishment in 2024:
Deck 5 - Casino moved to Deck 8, and the Casino Bar eliminated. Boutique expanded into old Casino space.
Deck 7 - Connoisseur's Corner moved to Deck 8. La Dame expanded into its space. A new Card Room was added to a previously blank space beyond the Conference Room.
Deck 8 - Library eliminated. Internet Cafe eliminated. Casino and Connoisseur's Corner moved into their spaces.
There are 194 staterooms on board, and they are all suites with almost all of them with step-out balconies. All rooms have walk-in closets, a sitting area, luxury bathroom, smart HDTV, refrigerator and mini-bar, and safe. Butlers for every passenger room make the experience truly luxurious.
Cuisine on board is of high quality. There are 5 options for dining on board:
The Restaurant- open seating main dining, Mediterranean-themed meals, all 3 meals
Le Champagne- 20 seat French cuisine, reservations only, dinner only
La Terrazza- complimentary buffet style, indoor/outdoor seating, transforms in the evening into an Italian specialty restaurant with reservations only
Pool Grill- fast food and drinks during the day, outdoor dining area with steak and seafood in the evening
The Grill- gourmet dining under the stars with signature dishes, Black Rock Grill Experience
During the day, passengers can enjoy the outdoor saltwater pool, 2 whirlpools, and the sun bathing areas as well as separate steam rooms and saunas for both men and women. In the small fitness center there is an aqua swim pool which allows guests to swim against the tide to get a workout in. Cycle and weight equipment is also available for use. The Spa has an amazing menu of treatments from manicures to massages. There is also a golf driving cage and shuffleboard court as well as a card room where Bridge players enjoy meeting up.
Nightly entertainment can be found at the Show Lounge, which is the ships main performance venue and offers nightly and daily shows and productions. There is also the Observation Lounge, Panorama Lounge, and The Bar which all offers live musical performances throughout the cruise. For a little excitement, guests can head over to The Casino for some gaming and drinks.
