This ship was originally one of the eight ships ordered by Renaissance Cruise Line before it went out of business.

During drydock September 2019 the ship received extensive Oceania Next enhancements. This includes new décor throughout the ship including all staterooms.

Built in 1998, this is the fleets second R-class boat. There are 349 staterooms on board, with the largest being the Owners Suites.

Nightly entertainment can be found at the Regatta Lounge, which offers live entertainment, dance parties, trivia quizzes, and presentations. There is also a piano bar, casino, Upper Hall lounge area, and Grand Bar.

The Regatta Wellness Center offers plenty of options for those looking to be pampered. There is a Spa Terrace, Spa Whirlpool, Steam Rooms, Treatment Rooms, Styling Salon, Canyon Ranch Spa Club, and Fitness/Gym.

Outdoors there is a Patio area which has chairs, daybeds, and sofas; and a pool area with 1 swimming pool, 2 whirlpools, sunbathing area, and a band stand. On the Sun Deck are deck games like Shuffleboard, a Golf Driving net, Mini- golf putting greens, and a Fitness track.
