ADVENTURE OF THE SEAS is the 3rd of 4 ships built in the Voyager Class. The other ships in the series are EXPLORER, VOYAGER and the forthcoming final sister NAVIGATOR.
A drydock in November 2016 added a FlowRider, Chops Grille, and Boleros. Also added Typhoon and Cyclone water slides and splash bay park for kids. The mini-golf course was moved and expanded to two decks, making it the first two level golf course for Royal Caribbean. The library was moved to deck 5 to create a larger library card room. The drydock was scaled back.
During drydock on Jan 13 to Feb 10, 2018 added specialty restaurant Izumi Japanese Cuisine, new inside and Oceanview staterooms and a Suite Lounge, including 38 panoramic cabins on deck 12.
There are 1691 staterooms on board, with the largest being the Royal Suite.

Children and adults of all ages will have plenty to keep them busy during the day with an aqua park/interactive water play area which has The Perfect Storm slides, FlowRider (surfing simulator), and 2-deck Mini-Golf course. There is also a SportsCourt which has a golf simulator, table tennis, and a basketball court, jogging track, and rock-climbing wall. There is also a Video Games Arcade.
Children and teens also have their very own designated club areas which offer organized activities with other kids their own age.
Adults have their very own areas as well with the Solarium Lounge (pool area and bar), and the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center (7 jacuzzis & 4 pools).
Nightly entertainment can be found at The Lyric Theater, which offers 2 grand productions per night and is great for all ages. Other entertainment options can be found at the Screening Room (cinema), Studio B Lounge (indoor skating rink), Blue Moon Lounge and Nightclub (96-seat jazz club), Jesters Disco and Nightclub, Casino Royale, or one of the many bars located throughout the ship.
Other notable venues on board include a Cupcake bakery, Art Gallery, Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream Bar, Online Center, and the Royal Promenade Boutiques.
