QUEEN MARY 2 was delivered to Cunard on 22nd December 2003 and her maiden voyage was to Ft Lauderdale from Southampton on 12th January 2004.
During the June 2016 dry dock Cunard added 15 cabins for singles on deck 2 (3L) and 3, and 30 balcony cabins and 5 inside cabins to deck 13 forward. Todd English was changed to The Verandah Restaurant.
During November 6 to 28, 2020 drydock the ship upgraded carpeting and décor throughout the ship including some stateroom bathrooms.
This is the only ocean liner with regular Transatlantic crossings between England and USA.
There are 1363 staterooms on board with the largest being the Grand Duplex Suites.

Nightly entertainment can be found at one of the lounges and bars on board. The Royal Court Theater offers grand shows and productions. The Illuminations Theater is 2-level and has a giant movie screen, and hosts the worlds only Planetarium at sea. There is also a Casino, Video Arcade, Chart Room (cocktail bar with live jazz), Queens Room (formal dancing ballroom), and a Disco/Nightclub.
Children and teens have their own areas to enjoy time with other passengers of the same age. There are age-appropriate activities.
Families and guests of all ages will enjoy time at the family pool area which has a sunbathing area and splash pool, as well as the Pavilion Pool area, Sun Deck pool area, and Terrace Pool area, which each have 2 whirlpools and sunbathing. Fun activites include time at the sports court which has deck games, mini-golf course, and golf simulator machines. There is also a fitness center for those who prefer to exercise there.
The Spa and Salon complex is 2-levels and has a Thalassotherapy pool, Thermal suite, saunas, treatment rooms, relaxation room, steam room, and beauty salon.
Other notable venues include the Photo Gallery & Shop, the Art Gallery, the Cyber Center, Library, and shopping area.
